At the end of May I photographed the wedding of Glynis and Chris in Largs. Glynis was very keen to capture something of the town, as she used to live there, so we headed for the famous Nardini's ice cream cafe where they were kind enough to not only let us take some pictures but even supplied a sundae for the bride and groom (but not me, sadly...).
Glynis and Chris returned from their honeymoon and kindly sent me the following lovely email:
"Thank you so much for informing us that our photographs were ready for preview. It was great coming back from our honeymoon in Cyprus to find that our pictures were already available for preview. We ignored the jet lag and repeatedly looked over our fabulous pictures over the weekend.
The pictures are outstanding and you managed to capture our special day in a way that we had hoped - relaxed, non-obtrusive with plenty of pictures of our guests and of course ourselves having a great time. We are delighted with the pictures taken in the local cafe and we thank you for encouraging us to go in (the ice-cream was great!).
We also really appreciated your genuine interest in who our guests were, where they had travelled from and who had done what in the preparation at the Church and hotel. This was not only extremely polite, it also allowed you to know who these special people were and you were able to capture many great pictures of them - pictures that we did not even think of asking you to do.
You also helped calm Glynis' nerves prior to the ceremony by reassuring her the weather was going to improve (which it did) and by telling her that our friends had done a great job decorating the Church. Along with your excellent photography skills, your interest in the day makes you stand out from other wedding photographers.
We booked you after seeing your work from an earlier family wedding and we would certainly recommend you to others. It was a pleasure having you as our photographer and now we cannot wait for the finished album! In the meantime, we will continue to look through the pictures online..again and again and again and try to come to a consensus as to which ones we will put in our album!"
